Finally the much awaited hsc exam result is published. Today at 10 am, the results were published simultaneously on the websites of all education boards across the country, the relevant examination centers, educational institutions and through SMS. However, this year’s pass rate is much lower than previous years.

The country is witnessing an unprecedented disaster in the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations. The passing rate has dropped by almost 19 percent compared to last year, causing deep concern in the education circles. The average pass rate in the 2025 HSC examination in the country’s 11 education boards has come to just 58.83 percent.
This year a total of 12 lakh 51 thousand 111 students appeared for the HSC and equivalent exams. Only 58.83 percent of them managed to pass. That is, about 18.95 percent fewer students have passed this year than last year. This huge number of students failing has raised big questions in the overall education system of the country. The Boards of Education have provided an opportunity for re-examination or challenge of accounts for those students who are not satisfied with their published results or did not get results as per expectations. But this time there has been a radical change in the rules of this application, which is very important for students to know.
Earlier Khata challenge was applied through SMS using Teletalk SIM. Whereas the return SMS would contain the PIN number and the amount of the fee, which would then be deducted from the mobile balance. This method is no longer valid.
HSC Board Challenge Application Method:
Students who are not satisfied with the result can apply for re-examination. The application process is completely online-based. Let’s see the procedure step by step:
- Go to https://rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd.
- Fill the roll, registration number at the designated place.
- Select the board from the board drop down.
- Then click on the submit button.
- Give the mobile number. SMS will be sent to this number when re-verification result is published.
- The next screen will show the subject wise result of the student.
- Select the subjects and click on ‘Pay Fee’ button.
- A fee of 150/- (one hundred and fifty only) will be applicable for each paper.
- The next screen will show the amount of fee payable.
- Detailed fee payment steps can be viewed by clicking on the “Help” button.
- Visit the application portal and click on the “Submit” button.
- If the application needs to be changed or modified before payment of fee, the selected subjects can be withdrawn by clicking on “Delete” button and fresh subjects can be selected.

The main purpose of challenging the HSC Result Board is to get an opportunity to correct any mistake or error in the result. Many times during the evaluation of test papers, problems such as errors in addition and subtraction, leaving a question unchecked, or marks not being properly entered on the board occur.
